Eco-Committee

From term 4 this academic year, we will be electing an Eco-Committee (1 child from each class), along with representatives from the staff who will represent their peers at regular meetings. They will share ideas and help implement new initiatives.

The committee will aim to meet at least every term to discuss projects and to brainstorm ideas for new initiatives. They will look at everyday activities at school and consider the changes we as a community can make to help our environment. 

As part of the Eco Schools framework, the Eco Committee will complete an Environmental Review each school year to identify the key topics that they would like to focus their efforts into making improvements in. The Eco Committee will brainstorm ideas and together they will create our school's Environmental Action Plan. Throughout the school year, the group will monitor and evaluate the projects and activities, while continuously updating their action plan accordingly.
