We have restarted our visits to the Trust’s farm this school year.
So far, all of Year 2 have had an afternoon visit, along with small groups of Young Farmers from Years 6 and 4.
The children have been able to experience the animals at first hand, and for the Year 6’s, this even meant meeting a day-old calf. A much-deserved treat after lots of mucking-out! Watch this space for updates in the Spring term when it is the turn of Year 1 to visit the farm.
Otterden Estate Visit
In October, some Year 5 children visited Otterden estate near Faversham to connect with nature and enjoy the great outdoors.
There was fun to be had playing games to learn about ecosystems and food chains.
Then, everyone rolled up their sleeves for some serious bug-hunting and den-building.
